Was at Western Colorado to watch XC meet. My son's JC finished 3rd of 5 teams. 4 were RMAC D2 teams. So fun to compare our boys to juniors and seniors. 7k altitude affects everyone's times!! Lol. But Western Colorado has some stud runners who could compete against any D1s.

Gunnison is small but amazing wilderness everywhere. Cool lake up there but not many on it and that reservoir is really low. I assume that's Grand Junctions water supply.

Stayed in Grand Junction last night...kind of dingy looking buildings and design bit amazing outdoors. Looks like a great valley though to live in if you don't live in the town.

Only 3.5 hours from Denver..close to Moab...half day drive to Utah county...not bad location.
