I don't think so....the reason we are in the national conversation is because we
are actually good this year. Our problem the past few years has not been losing to P5 teams. In fact we have been beating some top-tier programs (USC, Wisconsin, Tennessee, etc.). I want to keep playing those games. Our problem has been that we have been losing to the teams that "dumb down" our schedule like Toledo, Northern Illinois, East Carolina, UMass, USF, Hawaii.
Can you imagine that past few years without those wins over top-tier programs. Instead of having some great P5 wins and some horrible G5 losses we would have had some mediocre G5 wins and some horrible G5 losses.
