As a 7 yr old I chose the Red Sox as my team because I had a Carl 'Yastermaskey'
...baseball card. (Yastrzemski). I followed them faithfully for almost 40 years, before they finally won a championship in 2004.
Am I a 'bandwagon ' fan because I grew up in Utah and have no ties to Boston other than my love of the Bosox? By your definition, I am.
My team has now won 4 titles in the last 16 years
