They postponed a game this weekend vs OSU due to Covid. That game is now Dec 12. I won’t be surprised if they miss a few more games, leaving both Baylor and other B12 teams with a shorter schedule (on top of an already short schedule).
Baylor plays at TT Nov 14, home vs KSU Nov 28 and at OU Dec 5, all open dates for BYU. Baylor has only one bye left open: Nov 21, for which BYU already has a game. If Baylor postpones only one more game before Nov 21 they will be ok. But if there’s another postponement, or if a postponement happens after Nov 21, BYU has a chance to get a very good game.
To sweeten the deal in an effort to get P5 games, I would suggest BYU could offer to play at the opponent’s stadium, or at least a neutral site. If the P5 team was supposed to play that game away, but can not only replace the game but turn it into a home game, seems like a deal hard to turn down.
I would hope that KSU would take that deal and replace at Baylor with home vs BYU if the situation were to arise.
Do your thing Tom!
