mannheimadler Intervention Needed
I had a Swiss companion who thought "Pizza Hut" was pronounced "Pizza Hoot."
I've shared this before a few months ago, but given the "foreign words pronunciation" threads this morning, I thought a few more people might enjoy it.

In German,"Hut" is pronounced "Hoot" and it actually means "Hat."

He actually thought the name of the restaurant was "pizza hat." I tried to explain to him that it wasn't "pizza hat." He asked me, "Then why does the logo look like a hat?"

I thought, Huh, maybe he has a point.
