Why? It's literally the rule? And it's not a rule to be pissed about.
A rule to be pissed about is that nonsensical runner must recover a fumble on 4th down crap.
I think some of you guys are confused in thinking they have to make contact. They don't. It's close enough to interfere with their ability to catch it.
