This is absolutely false and a bad take.
It was patently obvious that they interfered even during live play and clearly a violation of the rules in slow mo.
“The rule says: It is an interference foul if, before the receiver touches the ball, a Team A player enters the area defined by the width of the receiver’s shoulders and extending one yard in front of him. When in question it is a foul.(A.R. 6-4-1-X-XIII)”
The critical part is one yard in front of him
And when in question (when even close) it is a foul.
The other language above that in article 1 says that a player must be given an unimpeded opportunity to catch the ball. It was clearly not unimpeded as the Houston players lunged at him before the ball came and well within the shoulders plus one yard defined above.
