You are part right. They weren't dropping 8, but I wouldn't say they were
bringing 4 consistently. Tooley spent a lot of time at the LOS, seemingly spying the QB. At least thats what it looked like to me.

I've always hated dropping 8 and always will. It works sometimes, but it's a horrible overall defensive philosophy.
