I know an assoc. AD of a P5 school. If BYU wants to get into a P5...
I've asked him what BYU has to do to get into a P5 conference. BYU has to win games. We can't lose to Utah every year. We can't lose boneheaded games to G5 schools. This year I imagine has been pretty good on that regard.
It's unfair that basement P5 schools like Kansas and Vanderbilt aren't held to the same standard, but it is what it is.
We have to win games.
For the next few years we have to win all the easy games and win some/most of the hard ones.
Just win baby. Oh and ZW, please stay another year and help BYU get in a P5 conference.

False. Nobody wins their way into a P5 league. That’s not how it works. If that were true, we’d have been P5 long ago
