I need some help with a PC build - never done this before
I have very little experience with computers. I buy something that works out of the box and go from there. Decided to build a computer with my 12-year-old to help him understand the components. We need a main computer for our house that will be the central hub of everything. My son will do some gaming. Otherwise, some photo and video editing and basic day to day usage. Budget isn't really an issue, but I don't want to waste money if it will make zero difference.

Below is a list of what I have come up with so far. I appreciate any feedback. Am I missing anything? Going overboard with anything? Not doing enough in a certain area? Choosing crappy brands?

CPU – Ryzen 5 3600X
Mobo – ASUS ROG STRIX ATX B550-F Gaming
Memory – Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 32 GB (2x16) DDR4-3200 CL16
Storage – Samsung 970 Evo 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive
GPU – Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 Super
Case – Fractal Design Meshify C ATX Mid Tower Case
PSU – Corsair RM (2019) 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX PS
Monitor – I don't know what to do here. I was thinking something in the 34" range. Curved? Brand? Any suggestions?

My last question is that I am sort of concerned with downloading software like Windows 10. I don't know how to do this kind of stuff on a computer I am booting up for the first time. Appreciate any tips. TIA!
