Drove the I-70 stretch from Green River to Salina yesterday..
There was a huge backup in SF canyon, so we decided to avoid traffic and take I-70. I have never driven that stretch before. My goodness, it was gorgeous. So many cool rock formations. Reds, oranges, blacks, grey, yellows. And the low sun and shadows made it even more beautiful. Good stuff in central Utah.

Then you made the correct decision. I had to take that route before due to fire up the canyon on the way towards Soldier

A fun alternate: Take I70 out of green river and hang a right at mile marker 147. Open the gate and close it behind
