Dana Holgorsen seems like a good coach. I liked his demeanor and comments. He did mention BYU's age at the very beginning, but other than that he was complimentary and gave Kalani and BYU a ton of credit.
Next they tried to interview Payton Turner and no reporter had any questions for him. He seemed surprised. Never seen that before. It was weird.
After that they interviewed Christian Trahan. On the first question he refused to give BYU any credit and said, "we beat ourselves". Thought it was funny, but then doubled down on the second question refusing to give any credit again saying, "we beat ourselves... that's all it is we beat ourselves". It was almost like you could feel the reporters rolling their eyes and no one asked any more questions.
Tune used the excuse of BYU having played 5 games and they had only 2.
Both Holgerson and Tune downplayed the importance of the game saying that it was just a bonus game and that their goal is to win the conference.
Aside from the praise (coach speak or not) from Holgerson, it all just came across as sour grapes. When you combined it with the head butt, spitting in our player's face and the unsportsmanlike penalties (the one on their O-lineman just looked like the only goal was to injure our player), it's not a good look.
