I had an abusive step mom that would punish me by making me take freezing cold showers and stare up into the water with my eyes open. This was from 4 to 5 or 6 years of age. I couldn't take showers until I was 12 or 13. And hated cold showers all my life. This was my way of taking that power she held over me. It was my #dohardthings.



Coincidentally around the time I had been doing this for a month she finally died. She'd been bed ridden for 12 years.

She also made me eat raw onions too because I hated them. Would make me throw up then I'd have to clean my throw up and then take a cold shower.

I also ate my first philly cheese steak WITH onions around a couple months before that.

So It really did seem once I defeated two of the biggest things she had over me she finally left world..

Anywho... That's why I take cold showers and they feel wonderful.
