My golf spy does a really good job of independently testing golf clubs, balls shoes a little bit of everything.
They released their 2020 list of best game improvement irons last month. GII are what 90% of golfers should play because they are the most forgiving, and easiest to hit and get the ball up in the air.
The below prices are as of today on the PGA tour superstore website.
#1 - Titleist T300 (5-PW $749, 6-PW $624)
#1 - tie - Mizuno JPX 921 (4-PW $999)
#2 - Srixon z585 ($999)
#3 - XXIO X Series (currently on sale 6-PW $549)
Best Value: Exotics EXS 220 (6-PW$549)
I absolutely love srixon and mizuno irons, both have high cred with serious players.
But based on pricing overall value here I would recommend the Titleist T 300. Ultra high-end brand at an incredible price. And $600ish for Titleist irons is insane good in my opinion...And if it doesn’t work out, Titleist irons will maintain a high resale value with the most demand.
If Money is no object I would try out all these irons with the fitter and see which one you feels most comfortable to you. But every iron on this list is excellent quality and reputation.
