When I did volunteer at my local rural fire station growing up we responded to almost all medical calls because the paramedics were usually busy and would be 10-15 minutes behind so we show up to stabilize then they show up to treat and haul away.

You have to take the full fire engine so that if you get a fire call while away you can respond immediately
