BYU's NY6 chances may have taken a serious hit today
With the cancellation of the Holiday Bowl.
With California not really allowing anything resembling free life going on during COVID, there is a great chance the Rose Bowl gets cancelled. If that happens, then the NY6 becomes the NY5. If that happens, the odds of an at-large take a real hit.
Plus, with the NCAA saying everyone is eligible for a bowl, then some bowls being cancelled - they are going to have to consider a new post-season plan. There simply will not be enough spots for quality/decent teams to play.

That’s not how it will work. They’ll either move the rose bowl or just have the Citrus bowl act as an NY6.
