An official NFL minor league would do really well and make it possible for guys to continue to develop aside from being on a practice squad. In a sport where multiple players get injured every week, its ridiculous that a guy who is working at a grocery store one week could be your starting DT the next week. Cities like Birmingham, Louisville, Orlando, San Antonio, Memphis, Sacramento, etc. would absolutely embrace NFL minor league franchises, and if the season were to be played in Spring they could actually do pretty well with TV deals.
