I wonder if we some "bowls" that simply match up teams at one of the participant's home fields...or a home field of a "hosting" conference? That seems like a very easy compromise this year. Travel and attendance will be limited and there aren't going to be many bowl-related activities this year with all of the COVID restrictions anyway. It would give many teams a chance for the extra game without the high costs.

Take the TV payout and avoid the money-sucking bowl structure...could lead to significant future changes for the better.
