That can happen, but it is uncommon. Sounds like you will need
a more aggressive matrixectomy procedure. That might mean a more aggressive application of the chemical, or possibly cutting the matrix out (surgical matrixectomy). Make sure you are seeing a podiatrist that is board certified. Check by going to abfas.org and doing a search with your zipcode. Good luck!
