I loved Haunting of Hill House, but this was just bad.
It wasn't scary, so it fails as horror.
I didn't care for any of the characters and the plot was like a Cliff's Notes version of a better story, so it failed as a drama.
Even as a self professed love story it failed.
It was like a Lifetime movie version of the first season. It didn't have enough plot for its runtime, yet still felt too stretched with monologue after monologue. Not to mention the lazy voiceover explaining key plot points that weren't clear through good storytelling.
