I don't mind him calling BYU games that much anymore. It used to be a lot different. He's actually mellowed out over the years in his anti-BYU rhetoric. He used to be much more antagonistic in year's past, but he's gone out his way to pay BYU compliments (even though he probably chafes somewhat while doing it).

But to the point of last night's game. If I put myself in his shoes, I'm a bit annoyed at being assigned such a late game (especially for his time zone), after a long day of work, watching and analyzing game after game after game... then I get a team I don't really like, and to boot, my company won't even spring for a ticket to a beautiful place with perfect Fall weather. Nope, I'm relegated to trying to come up with something decent to say even though my view is the same as everyone else watching TV. Throw in the blowout and the boring game (to him) and it's even harder to come up with anything interesting to say.

I chalk up his annoyed comments late in the game to fatigue. He was tired, and the game was harder than most games to comment on since he was stuck in his house and it was a blowout. It was just fatigue and old feeling surfacing again. I didn't really care for his comments, but I can see where they might have come from. We're all a bit cranky after a 12-14 hour day of work.
