receive a lot of emotional and mental support from seeing the pink and knowing what it is for. So, I don't see it as an empty gesture.

Why give flowers at a funeral for instance? Sure, giving something else is beneficial, but that doesn't make the flowers an empty gesture.

As an awareness campaign, I think that it is a great idea.
