BlueBlood94 Intervention Needed
Paper straws are an abomination. After 3 minutes, you're not only taking in your drink, but pieces of the straw as well.
If you don't finish your drink within 7 minutes, say sayonara to the straw. Glad most places in Utah still have plastic ones, but apparently Costco is being politically correct and now only has paper ones in their food court. Considering the U.S. is only responsible for 0.86% of the world's mismanaged plastic pollution, seems like we're suffering with paper straws for a miniscule impact. And plastic straws specifically are reportedly less than 1% of the plastic pollution problem. I'm all for environmental cleanliness, saving the turtles, and all that great stuff, but PLEASE, for the love of everything holy, think of a better solution than STICKING PAPER INTO A LIQUID and thinking that paper will somehow hold its stability while liquid is literally passing through it!
