My favorite was a ward playoff game for regionals (when I was a teacher), I was a bit

of a goofball but I'd been playing a lot of basketball with family and friends and had improved a lot. Most of the ward didn't know that and I didn't get the ball much in a position to shoot it during games. I was extemely skinny at the time- had shot up about 4-5 inches in the last year to almost 6 ft at that point.

It was the final seconds of the game and we were down a basket. I passed it in and got it back at about 1/2 court and the everyone was expecting me to pass it back to one of the designated 'shooters'- instead, as the Bishop was yelling 'no, no, no!' I calmly dribbled to the 3 (without a close defender, cause I hadn't been shooting most of the game) and let it loose.

It fell through, nothing but net, and the Bishop's 'no's' turned into lots of happy 'yes' yells.

Lots of happy memories around sports but its always nice to exceed people's expectations.
