...on the wise investing of the widow’s mite as a bad use of sacred funds. Sure don’t tap into the basis, but tapping a little into the massive appreciation for a good cause doesn’t strike me as a bad use of funds available.
But I also have all sorts of other ideas of what they could do with those funds over and above a threshold “rainy day” amount and they have never asked me so I don’t expect they worry much about what I think.
I am a super fan of the church, the school, and the athletic program no matter what, but I do think the church would benefit from either tasking the presiding bishop or creating a new calling where they determine what amount is wise to have on hand against a rainy day and operating expenses and anything over that find children’s hospitals to endow or other great uses of funds that would make the Savior proud.
