need better evidence that football is mission-central than anecdotes about neighbors clapping us on the back over Jimmermania. Although they don't exactly release minutes of their meetings, I'm guessing they haven't seen such evidence.
Or here's another way to look at it: BYU football wouldn't exist if BYU didn't exist. I'm guessing the Church spends billions to make BYU exist (since tuition is like 1/10 what it would be at a comparable private university). Is that not enough of a football subsidy to satisfy Cougarboard?
