Daughter was asked on a date this weekend. Should she go?
Over the weekend, a young man we know asked my college-aged daughter on a date for this Saturday. He told my daughter that he originally had another girl set up to go, but she had something else come up, so he’s now available.

He also told my daughter that there’s another girl who MIGHT still go out with him that same weekend, so he asked my daughter to please understand if he cancels last-minute.

He’s apparently really nervous about COVID, so he asked my daughter to get tested with 24 hours of their date and show him the test results. He texted her the name of the clinic he wants her to use. I don’t know, but that just kinda rubbed me the wrong way.

This guy lives out of state, so it kinda bugs me that he expects my daughter to purchase a plane ticket and make travel arrangements for a date that he might cancel.

Our family was planning to be together for Thanksgiving in California, but now my daughter is considering this date instead. She said he’s really attractive and might smear her name on social media if she says ‘no thanks’.

Any advice?

Should she just book a ticket and go?
