A 1-loss Oregon or USC with 7 games played gets in any NY6 or CFP
over BYU. Oregon is already 1 spot behind BYU in the AP poll and probably jumps them with a win this week.
This isn't a coordinated effort by the Pac-12. Probably just 1 UW staffer leaking something. I doubt either side approached the offer with any thought of drama. I would venture that UW offered the game to BYU, the cougs declined, and both sides moved on with much thought to it.
