If they are allowing players to go home, expect to have a lot test positive.
Most people are getting this in family settings when they aren't wearing masks. I get the desire to have a student home for the Holidays, but if I was a coach in this situation, I would be telling all my kids they need to stay at campus, and then I would make sure to provide a team dinner on that day.
They are already all hanging out at game, practice, etc. Much less likely to get a huge surge by doing a team dinner compared to allowing all to go home for Thanksgiving.
