If they needed to give up as much as they did to dump those players when the teams they traded them to quickly found new homes for them without giving up any assets.
In the grand scheme of things, giving up 3 2nd round picks isn't going to make or break the franchise. But when you combine these moves with the Knicks trade that ZachStache references above (where the Jazz swapped picks with the Knicks, who then traded THAT pick for a better deal) it just makes me wonder how well the Jazz Front Office is executing on this stuff.
Again, not a huge deal, just a head scratcher.
