Here's a better one: BYU didn't want to be the back up team in waiting to a peer school that wouldn't commit to playing the game against us.

I understand why UW didn't want to commit playing against us (they'd rather an easy win vs Utah than a shellacking by BYU), but it's low how they leaked half truths to the press about it.
