The LAST thing the P5 powers-that-be want — is for BYU to lay claim to one of the at-large spots. I wouldn't doubt there is a P5 motion in place to help promote this BYU-Cincy game right now w the intention of adding BYU to the G5 NY6 slot pre-game.

That game will end up being the glorified crumb of the season.

It'll be the move that says, "BYU...go ahead & schedule as heavy a season as you want. Just know that if you drop a game we're gonna select an undefeated G5 over you every time for the NY6. And if you go undefeated, maybe we can put together a cool game every year between you & the other undefeated G5 for that treasured NY6 spot."
