CFP: Don’t be fooled... this is 100% P5 politics....
It is wise for us all to take a deep breath and realize fully what is going on here.

For one, Cincy’s SOS rating is almost the same as BYU’s.... but they are light years ahead in the rankings at #7. Why? Because they are not a threat to the bottom line of cash flow that the P5 has determined belongs to them. That is exactly why the rankings are what they are.

The committee intentionally placed two loss programs ahead of BYU making certain that the Cougars will never be able to vault into a NY6 game. The SOS argument is pure BS and everyone knows it.

The notion that a UW game will get BYU there is also a lie. BYU defeats UW and they will not be positioned any differently than we are right now.

Will Cincy play us?.. don’t see why they would... it is pretty clear that they know they will never under any circumstance be allowed into the CFP and they have a SOS rating barely higher than ours and yet everyone is talking about how deserving they are of their ranking.

Will A&M, OU, etc. or any other program ranked higher than us schedule us now? No. Because it will not substantially bolster their case. It benefits us by far more than it would them. They are on the receiving end of P5 politics.

Cougar Nation.... the political map of NCAA football has not changed one lick.

I spent too much time listening to Herbstreit and others very complimentary of BYU and those that were too honest about their review of eye test metrics.

The CFP committee is comprised of P5 cronies that stand as a vanguard to make certain that their collective conferences maintain their power grip on prestige and money.

Fool me once.
