This is going to blow your mind, but the average Indy schedule we’ve played isnt
substantively different, in terms of SOS, from a upper echelon AAC schedule.
We get better name brand teams, more often, as an Indy. We also get Novembers full of UMass, NMSU, FCS, etc.
And when it all comes out in the wash we end up in the same range of SOS as many AAC schools.
So no, we wouldn’t be playing crappy schedules like this every year. We would be playing essentially the same quality of schedules as the standard Indy one but with an actual reward to play for.
