& a better shooter off the dribble than what I remember of Rogers. Those two skills are gonna get Johnson a serious look as our eventual starting 2 — maybe even this season, I'd think. While he's pretty light of frame, he doesn't strike me as fragile-looking like Rogers always did. I like Johnson's length & hand size, too. He really plays under control --& is very comfortable handling the ball-- in a way more reminiscent of a Bigelow than a Stephen Rogers, imo.
I'd really like to see him get a lot of time & touches — & see what he can do as both a scorer & facilitator. I'm not surprised at all why Pope offered him so early last year. At the same time, there's a lot of really talented guys vying for a wing spot. Pope has a lot of options as well as tough decisions ahead of him this season in shaping this team.
I absolutely love this roster he's assembled in only a year's time.
