I've got a wildlife trip planned a few months from now, and have an ancient Nikon DX DSLR I think it may be time to replace for this trip. That camera has a couple DX lenses I'm not sure are worth keeping, so I don't think already owning them should necessarily influence a next camera purchase.
I've read that full sensor cameras have better color saturation and low light performance than ASP-C, which seems like it could be important for wildlife, but frankly anything made post 2010 would be better than what I have now. That said, the smaller sensor cameras cost much less, with full sensor running 50-100% more. Would it be a mistake to go DX / cropped sensor again? And, on a related note, anyone use mirrorless for wildlife shots?
