BYU scheduling this week - What do we know? I admit I don't have all the info
and happy for people to fill in and add info

From what I have gathered BYU players were told there was no game this week and some started going home last weekend. On Sunday or Monday a game with Washington looked like an option and some players were told to come back. Then things fizzled late Monday or Tuesday and Utah Washington was scheduled.

We heard the CU/USC game could be a problem. Pac 12 rules say you can play out of conference but can cancel up until Thursday. Today is Thursday and we learned that SDSU is going to play Colorado. I was first told that was because Colorado was already in California by some posters so it made logistical sense. The problem with that is the game is scheduled in Boulder. Other posters have also said that this game was probably in the works since Monday. The problem with that is on Tuesday there was an article saying SDSU wanted to play Washington. Maybe all that info is late. But with the pac 12 Thursday cancellation rule seems more likely the SDSU game was just agreed to today since it is Thursday.

BYU may have talked to CU but the real problem is BYU decided to take the week off and was in not position to schedule a game on Thursday or play a game this week. Based on the info I have found I don't think that game was agreed to until today. BYU was caught flat footed thinking they would be ranked higher and didn’t need to prioritize a game this week.
