Where did the narrative "the team is exhausted" come from?
BYU last played an FBS team 3 weeks ago. The team is 9 games into the season. Last season, at this time they were prepping for game #12.
From what I'm hearing, the players are 100% behind Zach's sentiment of playing anytime, anywhere, and any team. There is nothing to lose at this stage of the season. Status quo is probably not going to get BYU into the NY6. Holmoe needs to take the best game available the next 3 weeks (other than SDSU) even if it means a short prep period. If this team is "special" it's time for a real test and to take some risks.
All the negative PR spin will stop if Holmoe can find 2 quality opponent to fill in the gaps on 12/5 and 12/19.
