Western Michigan had a similar SOS in 2016. 13-0 and topped at #15 in the committee rankings.
Not an at large bid, got the G5 autobid. SOS of 115, and I think that was after the bowl game. Lost to LSU.

It's a bad SOS to be sure. But other teams with similarly bad SOS have made NY6 games in years past.
