It feels like in-state is starting to shift our way just a bit. Not that we’re sweeping recruits, by any means, but it was looking really bleak there for a few years. The fact that Fano is reportedly signing with BYU is really a HUGE sign that kids like him are starting to see BYU as a viable option for getting to the league. A year ago, we weren’t a serious contender.
Still way too many kids going out of state, but even that’s better than Utah landing them.
6 of the top 10 recruits in Utah are heading out of state... 3 to Oregon.
BTW - I think the most underrated kid in the state is John Henry Daly from Lone Peak... a BYU commit.
