So the false reality are teams like Liberty, Marshall, and Coastal Carolina will beat most P5 teams on a regular basis? The committee looks at those programs because 9 times of 10 they are going to win. Liberty has beat a couple P5's this year and Coastal Carolina beat mighty Kansas, but that's it for these teams.

I believe the committee was actually about right with the BYU ranking. Why should BYU be so far ahead of other undefeated teams like Marshall and Coastal Carolina? Why isn't Marshall and Coastal Carolina right there with BYU in the rankings since they are undefeated and are also ranked in the top 10 for margin of victory? Undefeated Coastal Carolina ranked at 20 and Marshall 21.

Even Zach Wilson said on BYU Sports yesterday that he thought their ranking would be worse. It sounded like Zach sensed it was coming. The schedule is a big negative for the committee, but fortunately you're still far ahead of Coastal Carolina and Marshall. Maybe that's from media goodwill, history or whatever.
