I was out hiking with a friend and his dog and the marmots stated screaming, they don't like dogs. We came up on a Dutch couple who had a look of concern on their faces. We asked if they were alright and one of them said, "we thought we heard a child screaming." Just then a marmot belted out a scream. "There! There! Did you hear that?!?". My friend laughed, "that's just a marmot, look over there on top of that rock! There he is!" I kid you not, on que that marmot screeched again. The concern on their faces melted into smiles and we all had a good laugh!
