He wasn't great today. He didn't need to be. The game plan didn't call for it. The Broncos had 0 chance of scoring unless Taysom handed them points. He kept that mostly under control.
But he wasn't great. He missed open dudes in the first half on multiple occasions. He was hesitant. But he ran well. Helped keep drives alive and he did his thing in the redzone. He has areas to review and improve.
My fear is this: These handful of games are his audition. Against the falcons he looked good. Good enough to lead a good team. Today? Honestly, if you only looked at today, nobody is impressed. If Brees retires Sean Payton may stick with Taysom, but to this point no other NFL coach is coming after him go start for their team.
