I think in hockey, redirecting a slapper from the point on net would be tough,
especially when the shot's more than 6 inches off the ice. Very few of us would be willing to stand in front of someone taking a slap shot...
Heck, even scoring a goal from the point on an NHL goalie would probably tougher than hitting a fastball. Shooting with the accuracy to get the puck through the screen and into an open part of the net while still having the power to get by any block attempts and beat the goalie is nothing to sniff at.
