Webcam setup questions for videoconferencing
Since working from home, I am using a two monitor system with my home office desktop computer. For many of my videoconferences I just join via audio (I figure my peers don't need to see me and I'm more productive using my desktop with the dual monitors). When I really need to be on video with my management, I pull out my laptop because it has an integrated webcam. But I have decided that I need to be on camera more — so I need to add a standalone webcam to my large main monitor.

I can either mount one to the top of my main monitor (which would probably sit about 6" above my eye level) or on the monitor stand below the main monitor (probably about 12-14" below eye level). Will both of those setups look pretty normal? I'm leaning toward mounting it on the monitor top, even though the angle will actually be pointed down slightly at me. I know its not a huge issue either way, but would be interested in knowing what is typical and what will look the most natural.
