Since it really is all about the power to keep the money within the cabal, why
not get the most wealthy BYU alumni to cobble together a bowl game in Vegas (not the Vegas Bowl), but it will be linked to BYU. And the total payout would be at least 10 million. You put that out there and work with ESPN, it would take less than two seasons before the P5 comes knockin hard at the door to rope that money in somehow. Knowing that seasons where BYU either doesn't qualify for a bowl (rare) or BYU is in the CFP's or invited to a NY6 that they P5 could lock in more money, BYU would be part of the club.

It always has been about money and power, and BYU actually has both if they are willing to push their most financially blessed alumni into creating an endowment to fund the bowl game annually. Heck if they are smart enough they could put enough money together where the interest alone would not only fund the game each year, but would grow the endowment.
