3 years from now I could see Utah playing for a National Championship. This was perfect timing for Utah football to lose so many players to the NFL. They aren't playing for anything this year so why not play the freshman, which they are. Get the freshman playing experience, let them learn. It is the perfect scenario for a rebuilding year. The only question mark would be the QB situation. If they can get a QB that can play, these freshman will be good their Jr year. You can see the talent is already there. They have some playmakers already making strides as freshman in the 2 games they've played. If the coaches can get the players to improve each year, which they seem to always do, they will be legit. Also, if they can keep their OC until then. We saw what the CFP did for them last year by ranking them so high just because they were in a garbage P5 conf and winning. (Grateful for USC winning and keeping them out)
BTW, I'm not a Utah fan. I'm the guy that had season tickets to Utah football to cheer on the other team. I enjoy them losing as much as BYU winning. Some of you hate that kind of fan but I love it. Family and friends have played ball at the Y.
Flame away.
