The ESPN Gameday spotlight will be massive on us.

The national spotlight will be massive.

Both of these undefeated team NEED a game like this to make it be known to everyone else that both are for real.

This may be the only opportunity in our history where we get to host a Top 10 team at our place. At least for a long time to follow.

The idea that this could have been Liberty and now their fans are left home weeping this weekend of what could have been while we bask in the media attention...man, that's just so much better than having beaten them outright.

Also — BIG kudos to BYU for doing this. They deserve a ton of credit. They are pulling the trigger on this about 60 hours from the start of the game, figuring out logistics, getting loaded up, getting their guys tested, ready, etc. This is no small effort by BYU. Win or lose, I hope we give them the respect they deserve for this. Very, very cool on their part to take this challenge on.

My only other thought now is whether there is room to juggle this game around on the television. Had the stations known this was going to happen, we may have had a shot at the ABC primetime game. I think they HAVE to make some changes to accommodate this. The ratings loss by hiding this in ESPNU or the Ocho or wherever would be too big of a missed opportunity for them."
