You can't really take anything away using total O and total D rankings
Houston's D is ranked in the 80's based on total defense. Western Kentucky is ranked 29. We all watched the games. Houston's defense is significantly better than Western KY. Houston has just played better teams against better offenses, so they've given up more yards.
