I haven’t been paying close enough attention, but is this idea being talked about nationally? AAC should definitely declare the 12/12 Cinci/Tulsa game the championship game instead of having them play a rematch one week later.
Assuming Cinci beats Tulsa on 12/12 and we win out, it would free up Cinci to play us on 12/19 for a legitimate shot at the CFP. That game would be must-see TV and way more valuable to ABC/ESPN than a Cinci/Tulsa rematch.
Don’t you think ESPN could make this happen by offering AAC a bump in pay?
